Joe and Kim met on an online dating service and got engaged two years later. They then set a date to be married on April 30, 2017. Invitations of burlap and lace were sent to 120 of their closest friends and family. Since they both had been married before, they decided on a backyard, rustic wedding in the spring. Their wedding was aimed to be fun and casual but elegant with the ceremony right in the middle of the dance floor. After visiting Jacques Catering hall and the Water Witch Club,we decided that Acme Party rentals was what we needed to transform thier backyard into the venue they desired.

Kim wanted to go with a long-sleeved, non-traditional lace dress. We then decided that Joe and the boys would wear tan linen vests and pants with blush ties to keep the casual feel. Kim wore mint heels and a matching turquoise hair pin given by her mother-in-law which held sentimental value. The bride’s bouquet and the men’s boutonnieres were coordinated with matching baby’s breath flowers.

We transformed Joe and Kim’s backyard into a beautiful country landscape designed with colors of blush and ivory. Included were bales of hay for lounge seating. The table linens will be blush with a burlap runner, lace chargers and hydrangeas for centerpieces. The backyard will be draped in white lights, and a variety of lanterns and lights will hang from the ceiling of the tent to give a romantic, low-light ambiance.

As guests arrive they will be greeted by Joe and Kim’s sons and guided to the sangria bar to fill up their personalized mason jars and find their seats. The guests will then get the party started with a cocktail hour consisting of tailgating, a pig roast, some antipasto, lawn games and country music. Joe and Kim chose a buffet style for after the ceremony with all of their favorite Italian foods and desserts. After everyone indulges in the delicious food, they will dance the night away with a throwback playlist from the 70’s and 80’s. Guests will not only be able to keep their name-tagged sangria jars, but will leave with individual bottles of homemade moonshine.
